All Salvationists accept a disciplined and compassionate life of high moral standards. To save is to deliver and protect from danger or suffering.

Salvation Stations were established throughout New Zealand. They became trusted peacemakers during the wars. And as the deadly new European diseases spread amongst the people many were seen to turn to the Milford Salvation.
