Painted with the full permission of Sanitarium New Zealand and was hanging on loan at Sanitarium in Christchurch for some time before they closed.

It is loosely modelled off “The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa”, a metal and stone sculpture created by Bernini from Italy in 1652.
